About Candidate

Cheif public health professional having enormous experience on CMAM/Nutrition program, maternal and child health program, community mobilization, IMNCI and other health care practices. I have also credible experience in both qualitative and quantitative data collection, including administering informed consent forms and completing surveys on behalf of low-literate individuals. Experienced with or have knowledge of CMAM/IMAM protocols, including OTP and TSFP admission and discharge criteria, follow-up procedures, and reporting tools. I have excellent team management/ leadership skill, result oriented and strongly believe in team work. Currently i’m working in Action Against Hunger-USA as MODAM RESEARCH OFFICER. Finally i would like to ensure that it is my big wishes and interest to work in TIGRAY region and to work hardly for my beloved organization to meet it’s goal.

Taking accurate anthropometric measurements including MUAC, weight, height and edema and categorizes children as having SAM, MAM or Normal based on WHO z-score standard tables. Ensure expected measurement quality standards during standardization test procedures Ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of all study activities Mobilize and educate the community on the research objectives and activities Lead randomization of children with SAM and MAM into the study arms and document assignment Ensure rigorous data collection by correctly administering questionnaires Ensure timely tracing of study participants who fail to turn up(defaulters) to their appointments Ensure enrollment of children who are discharged as recovered from the MODAM trial into the post-recovery trial Lead randomization of cured children into post-recovery study arms, and document assignment Conduct training on family MUAC for mothers’/caregivers of children enrolled into respective arm and assess its effectiveness to early detect malnutrition by close follow up Support and ensure smooth referrals to CMAM program(SC) for post-recovery research participants who have become malnourished during the course of the study Support and assist with donor organization and other monitoring site visits and give important clarification on progress of the project and overall activities Complete all required daily, weekly and monthly reports and return them to the base in a timely manner Proactively raise challenges and issues occurring with the study at the field site with the immediate supervisor.
